We all know the best time to plant a tree was 25 years ago, but the next best time is today! Inspired by our friends in Glenisk and the amazing work done by Self Help Africa‘s One Million Trees in 2020, Polar Ice Ltd are planting 25,000 trees to mark our 25 years in business!
It is our ambition to make Polar Ice a sustainable, carbon neutral, supplier of dry ice products in Ireland. Supporting Self Help Africa’s One Million Trees mission is just one important step along this journey.
Self Help Africa’s One Million Trees aims to plant 100,000 native trees in Ireland, and 1 million in Africa this year – after already planting more than 1 million in 2020! The project supports the vital food and farming needs of Africa’s rural poor – while also contributing to the replanting of Ireland, and the wider global fight against climate change.
Climate justice is the challenge that defines this generation. Every tree makes a difference! A single mature tree can absorb up to 25kg of CO2 from the atmosphere each year. We hope we’ve inspired you to help in the One Million Trees campaign, and if you’d like to get involved, €5 will plant 10 trees in Africa and a native tree here in Ireland.
